A-A, N-F, SXC all pick up wins in baseball play

Alta-Aurelia used a four-run third inning to take control as the Warriors went on to beat West Bend-Mallard 6-0 in a Twin Lakes Conference game played on Monday night at Alta.

Alta-Aurelia (11-5) scored one run in the first inning, four in the third and one in the fourth frame.

The Warriors finished with six hits in the game. Sam Sennert led the way with two. Gavin Sleezer, Camden Reinert, Jaxson Page and Maddux McCoy each added one hit apiece.

Reinert and Page drove in two runs apiece while Sennert drove in one. Sennert and Cale Brechwald each scored two runs.

Brayden Marshall was the winning pitcher. He allowed nine hits, walked none and struck out three in seven innings.

Newell-Fonda 11, Southeast Valley 1

Max Carlson had two hits and two RBI at the plate and pitched a three-hit shutout for four-plus innings to help Newell-Fonda beat Southeast Valley in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Monday night at Dayton.

Newell-Fonda (10-7) scored one run in the first inning, three in the second, two in the third, three in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Newell-Fonda tallied seven hits in the game. Carlson had two, as did Brady Babel. Kellen Meyer, Jackson Bellcock and Mason Hoberman each added one hit apiece for the Mustangs.

Bellcock and Babel each drove in a run while Meyer, Bellcock, Trevor Tauber and Broc Wilken all scored two runs apiece.

Carlson allowed three hits, walked one and struck out eight in 41⁄3 innings to get the win. Brooks Bellcock gave up three hits and one run, walked one and struck out three in 11⁄3 innings of relief.

Sioux Central 10, East Sac County 6

Sioux Central scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take control as the Rebels went on to beat East Sac County in a Twin Lakes Conference game on Monday at Peterson.

Sioux Central (10-7) scored one run in the first inning and three in the second before erupting for six runs in the fourth frame to take a 10-5 lead.

Sioux Central recorded nine hits in the game. Konnor McKeever, Andrew Nelson, Owen Mills and Max Wittmaack all had two apiece. Hunter Cooper added one hit for the winners.

Nelson drove in four runs while Wittmaack had two RBI and McKeever and Boden Bright one apiece. McKeever, Wittmaack and Sawyer Hollesen all scored two runs.

Cooper was the winning pitcher. He allowed six hits and six runs, four of which were earned, walked three and struck out six over 42⁄3 innings. Bright gave up one hit and no runs, walked none and struck out four in 21⁄3 innings.

Lawton-Bronson 10, Ridge View 4

Lawton-Bronson used a pair of four-run innings to hand Ridge View a setback in the first round of the Western Valley Conference tournament on Monday in Moville.

The Eagles plated four runs in the second, two in the fourth and four in the seventh. Ridge View scored one run in the second, two in the third and one in the seventh.

Ridge View (10-7) recorded eight hits in the game. Blake Myrtue and Aiden Myrtue each had two to lead the way. Kinnick Jensen, Gavin Vohs, Owen Worthan and Kyle Burk each added one hit apiece.

Worthan drove in two runs while Conner Jacobson and Ryan Barry each had one RBI for the Raptors.

Blake Myrtue took the loss. He allowed six hits and six runs, walked one and struck out three in four innings. Jensen gave up two hits and four runs, walked three and struck out two in 21⁄3 innings of relief.
