June 27 Iowa DNR fishing report

Posted

The water temperatures at Storm Lake - including Little Storm Lake, remain steady in the upper 70s. Reports note that Black crappies are slow, but fishing is fair for the Largemouth Bass. Bass like the areas near shore, rocky structures, and overhanging trees.

Walleye opportunities are fair. Walleye are moving into areas offshore near the dredge cuts; crawler harnesses and crankbaits would do best. Fishing for White Bass is fair, as is fishing for Yellow Bass.
