BVU Homecoming schedule

Head to campus this weekend for an exciting slate of homecoming activities. Come see family, friends, classmates and take in all that Buena Vista University and Storm Lake have to offer.

Friday, Sept. 27

BVU Music Showcase, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Siebens Forum Mack Lounge. The BVU Jazz Band, Rock Ensemble and Vista Chamber Singers will perform as part of BVU’s Homecoming festivities. Admission is free and open to the public.

Storm Lake Homecoming Parade, 2:30 p.m. on Lake Avenue.

BVU celebrating pioneers in women’s athletics during panel discussion at homecoming, 4-5 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium. Panelists include former head softball coach Marge Willadsen, Director of Volleyball operations Janet Berry, head women’s wrestling coach Paige Storm, and former Beaver student athletes Marcia Holsinger, Jeannie (Demers) Henningsen and Kelli Taylor-Noble. This event is open to the public. A reception will follow at 5 p.m. in Siebens Forum.

BVU Hall of Fame Reception and Banquet, 5:30 p.m. in Siebens Forum.

BVU hosting music and a beer garden on the South Forum Lawn patio, 7 p.m.

BVU Homecoming Coronation and Lip Sync Battle, starts at 8 p.m. in Lamberti Recreation Center.

Saturday, Sept. 28

Admissions Fall Visit Day, 9 a.m., Siebens Forum.

Open outdoor wrestling practice, 9 a.m., sidewalk in front of Pierce and White halls.

BVU drive-in tailgate begins at 9:30 a.m. at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium. Drive-in at the southeast corner. Bring your own tailgating food and beverages or grab something to eat on campus. BVU Homecoming pep rally, 11 a.m. on the South Forum Lawn, followed by the BVU Alumni Association Pre-Game Party at 11:30 a.m.

BVU Homecoming football game and Hall of Fame Game Day vs. Central at 1 p.m. Join for Fifth Quarter Fest at 4 p.m. on the South Forum Lawn.

BVU Women’s Soccer game, 5 p.m., Peterson Field at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium, followed by BVU Men’s Soccer at 7:30 p.m.
