William Tutt

William Tutt, 87, of Storm Lake died Jan. 9, 2025, at his residence.

A Time of Gathering will take place Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 5-7 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery at Alta.

William D. Tutt was born March 4, 1937, in Cherokee, the son of William and Norma (Sterman) Tutt. When he was a teenager, William joined the United States Navy. He served on the USS Carp and USS Elkhorn.

On June 21, 1959, William was united in marriage to Valeria J. Lange at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. To this union, four children were born: Randall, Roxanne, Gregory and Steven.

William worked at HyGrade and Buena Vista Manor. In his free time, William could be found enjoying the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. William also enjoyed square dancing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his children: Randall Tutt of Storm Lake; Roxanne (Don) Dreeszen of Spirit Lake; Gregory (Lori) Tutt of Fort Worth, Texas; Steven (Monica) Tutt of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren: Courtney (Michael) Emerson, Nathan (Lacey) Dreeszen, Kayla Dreeszen, Derek (Cecelia) Dreeszen and Ben Tutt; great-grandchildren: Christine, Lily and Jack Dreeszen; Owen and Eli Dreeszen; sisters-in-law: Jan (Harold) Redenbaugh, Linda (Steve) Struthers and Phyllis Lange; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Norma Tutt; wife Valeria Tutt; sister Donna; and granddaughter Hannah.
