Patricia Harskamp, 88, of Storm Lake died Oct. 17, 2026, at Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Memorial services will take place Thursday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Private burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Storm Lake.
Patricia was born Aug. 3, 1938, to Palmer and Leone (Rollings) Paulson in Pierre, S.D. She was the youngest of six children and grew up attending school in Hudson, S.D.
On June 8, 1956, Patricia was united in marriage to Donald Lee Harskamp in Luverne, Minn. They were blessed with five children: Jackie, Diane, Don, Doug and Julie.
Patricia worked for the turkey plant in Storm Lake for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and quilting. Baking also brought Patricia joy. In her later years, Patricia enjoyed watching TV, especially Gunsmoke, Judge Judy, and Let’s Make A Deal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patricia is survived by her children: Jackie (Wendell) Stief of Storm Lake; Diane Malcom of Humboldt; Doug (Nadine) Harskamp of St. Peters, Mo.; Julie (Brian) Peterson of Iowa City; siblings: Daryle (Marcy) Paulson of Hudson, S.D.; Marian Newman of Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Joy) Stief, Carrie Stief, Kristina (Alex) Perez, Nathan (Andrea) Malcom, Nick (Tiffany) Malcom, Taylor (Kirsten) Malcom, Tyler (Amanda) Harskamp, Marty Harskamp, Mason (Christy) Harskamp, Davis Harskamp, Breanne Peterson (Hung Tran) and Andrew Peterson; great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Elizabeth Harskamp; Jordan Stief; Cooper Stief; Ariel Simpson; Clayton Jansen; Samantha Grubb; Micaiah Harskamp; Elliana Harskamp; Elli and Claire Malcom; Lucy and Macy Malcom; Gus and Freddy Malcom; great-great-grandchildren, Xander Stief and Draven Krueger; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Leone Paulson; husband Donald Lee Harskamp; son Donald Dean Harskamp; grandson Jacob Harskamp; brothers, Gene and Clifford Paulson; and sister Carole Kruid.
