Marian L. Clark, 90, of Storm Lake died March 16, 2025, at Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be at a later date in Pocahontas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Marian L. Fokken was born March 30, 1934, in Pocahontas County, the daughter of John and Talena Fokken. She attended school in Mallard. After graduation in 1952, she went to Des Moines to work as a bookkeeper. She then moved to Storm Lake.
Marian was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran church in 1934 in Pocahontas, and later confirmed her faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mallard in 1948. Most recently, Marian was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake.
In 1963, Marian moved to Storm Lake where she worked as a bookkeeper/office manager until her retirement at the age of 71.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter DeAnn Sandgren of Storm Lake; son Gary (Lori) Clark of Arizona; and grandchildren: Steffanie (Kyle) Liston of Arizona; Alex (Sydney) Clark of Salix; Jenna (Max) of Storm Lake; great-grandchildren: Hayden Liston, Cruz Liston, Rowan Liston and Luna Clark; great-grandchild Stevie Stammer; brother John Fokken; sister-in-law Virginia Fokken; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Gene, Paul, Gary and Joyce; son-in-law Bart Sandgren; sister-in-law Betty; and brother-in-law John Marron.
