Kathleen Ann Mummert was born July 11, 1956, to Ernie and Helen (Connell) Bosley in Storm Lake. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. In 1974, Kathy graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Storm Lake.
Kathy touched the lives of many while she worked as a florist in the family-owned flower shop alongside her mother and sister. She was always on the move — whether working outdoors with tireless energy or keeping everything spotless with her constant cleaning. Her dedication and strong work ethic were a part of who she was. She never turned down a trip to the casino and would happily go with anyone willing to join. Above all, she cherished her role as “Booma," the name her grandkids gifted her. You could often find her in the stands supporting them at their sporting events. Her grandchildren looked forward to her delicious baked goods, and Kathy treasured time together with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Kathy’s memory include her children: Julie (Brian) Miller of Storm Lake; Sarah (Mike) Bartling of Storm Lake; brothers: Ken (Johanna) Bosley of Abita Springs, La.; Mike Bosley of Aurelia; Tom (Jodi) Bosley of Sioux City; sisters: Mary (Ed) Larsen of Storm Lake; Teresa (Rick) Siewert of Perryton, Texas; grandchildren: Keegan Miller of Storm Lake; Kennadie Miller of Storm Lake; Kale Miller of Storm Lake; extended family and friends.
