Historical fiction author presenting in Sioux Rapids

Sioux Rapids Memorial Library presents Iowa author Ann Hanigan Kotz and her program “Iowa’s Prohibition &Bootlegging Legacy” on Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at the historic Sioux Theatre on Main Street Sioux Rapids.

Kotz wrote “Moonshine by Moonlight,”which is a fictional story of the bootlegging era while representing the authentic legacy of Carroll County’s underground whiskey industry during one of the most raucous periods of American history.

Kotz was born in Denison and lives in Adel. She attended UNI and taught English for 33 years. She has authored multiple historical fiction books.
