Glenda Carole Miwa (née Geisinger) passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2024, at age 90, after a short hospitalization in Newton, Mass.
Born in Storm Lake on Dec. 4, 1934, she graduated from Buena Vista College and then worked as a chemist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Peoria, Ill. She moved to Tempe, Ariz., in 1979, and then to Wellesley, Mass., in 2019.
Throughout her life, she was an active Presbyterian Church member and missionary, a world traveler and an enthusiastic supporter of various fine arts programs.
Glenda was predeceased by her husband, Thomas K. Miwa; parents, Glen and Valle Geisinger; brothers, Robert and Roderick; sisters, Bonnijane Mehlhop and Dinah.
She is survived by her sons: Loch, Brett and Dane; grandchildren: Rachel, Elisabeth, Stephen, Michael, Elise, Dominic, Nico and Cordelia; and great-grandchildren, Avi and Benji.
