Charles “Chuck” Movall, 76, of Alta died Feb. 22, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Aurelia.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. Burial will be in Scandinavian Cemetery in Alta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta is in charge of the arrangements.
Chuck was born Oct. 31, 1948, to Clarence and Wanette (Miller) Movall in Cherokee. He grew up in Alta, and graduated from Alta High School. After high school, Chuck served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked for Tyson in the maintenance department.
Golfing was Chuck’s greatest passion. He owned and operated Chuck’s Golf Cart Repair in Alta. Most recently, Chuck enjoyed mowing and maintaining the Alta Golf Course. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chuck is survived by his children: Kimberly Velazquez (fiancé Alexis Almendarez) of Storm Lake; Derek Movall (fiancé Gabby White) of Aurelia; grandchildren: Makenzie and Grayson Movall; Braxton Velazquez; brothers: Steven Movall of Linn Grove; Larry (Leah) Movall of Pomeroy; Garry (Gladys) Movall of Mount Pleasant; sister Carolyn Young of Fort Dodge; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Wanette Movall; brother Stanley Movall; great-niece Mikayla Valentine; and sister-in-law Connie Movall.
