Bonita Donelle Westcott was born Jan. 27, 1933, to Virgil and Beulah (Hicks) Westcott in Nemaha. Bonnie had a strong faith. She was a member of Schaller Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed attending bible study.

On Sept. 18, 1955, Bonnie was united in marriage to Bruce Currie at Schaller Presbyterian Church. To this union, four children were born: Lisa, Jeff, Drew and Brian.

Bonnie was known for her delicious potato salad recipe. She loved to laugh and joke with those around her. Bonnie enjoyed opening her home to her family for gatherings and graciously took her friends in Schaller around to their various appointments. Left to cherish the memory of Bonnie include her children: Lisa (Mark) Jorgensen of Allen, Neb.; Jeff (Jean) Currie of Windsor Heights; Drew (Karima) Currie of Surprise, Ariz.; Brian (Mary Jo) Currie of Littleton, Colo.; sisters: Sheryl Mertz of Early; Janet (Jerry) Zulfer of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren: Jennifer Wiese of Omaha, Neb.; David Wiese of Plattsmouth, Neb.; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Currie; and brother-in-law Dave Mertz.
