Audrey Martha Brady, 67, of Fonda died at home on Jan. 1, 2025, from pancreatic cancer.

Memorial services will take place Friday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Varina. The family is handling services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in her honor. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Audrey was born Dec. 8, 1957, in Seoul, Korea, and adopted through Holt International by John K. and Carroll Anna Rammel Kamp from Hawthorne, Calif. Audrey attended Northwestern College in Orange City, then attended Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich. She was ordained as a minister of the Reformed Church of America on June 26, 1988. Her first church was Mount Pleasant Reformed Church in Hudson, N.Y. She later pursued training and work in hospital chaplaincy at Rochester, Minn., as well as Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Penn. She also worked in counseling and social work.

Audrey loved traveling, gardening, flowers, scuba diving, backpacking, camping, pets, alpacas and had an extensive collection of sea otters. She grew up in a Dutch heritage and always held that dear to her heart as well.

She was preceded in death by her dad in 1958, mother in 1975, and grandparents.

No matter where life took Audrey, she said she was always “blessed to be adopted” by families and friends in those locations. Friends were the family one finds along the way.

She expressed deep thanks to Dr. Glienke, Dr. Wender, the staff at the Infusion Center and BVRMC as well as the staff with St. Croix Hospice.
