Alex Richard Severson was born March 8, 1990, in Storm Lake the son of Rodney and Jan Severson. He attended school in Storm Lake, graduating in 2008. On May 29, 2016, Alex became a proud father to Grayson. Alex was on the construction crew building grain bins at D&B Agro-Systems, previously known as Bargloff & Company for nearly 13 years. He also spent some time as a welder for his uncle Kenyon at Schiltz Manufacturing.
Alex was a good man who had a big heart. He felt his emotions deeply and wore them on his sleeve. He cared deeply for his family and friends. He was proud of his accomplishments in sports, but more than anything he was proud to be Grayson's dad. In his free time, Alex enjoyed his time on the golf course whether that was alone, with friends or helping to instill that same passion within his son. Once football season hit, you could hear Alex cheering "GO BIG RED" and dressed proudly in his Husker attire. He loved his Boyz II Men music and he enjoyed playing video games on his PS5, which is something that he shared with Grayson. We will remember Alex's infectious smile, warm hugs and his big heart that he shared with everyone that he knew. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Alex’s memory include his father Rod (Jane Hartwell) Severson of Storm Lake; son Grayson Severson of Alta; brother Jay Severson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandmother Shirley Severson of Alta; uncles: Kenyon (Connie) Severson of Nemaha; Scott Severson of Alexandria, Va.; aunts: Becky (Marlin) Stahl of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Lynne (Jason) Raveling of Pocahontas; numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
