Aletha Mae Stephan, 84, of Storm Lake died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Fonda Specialty Care.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial was in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake.
Aletha Mae Anderson was born March 29, 1940, to Clifford and Lois (Lundberg) Anderson. She graduated in 1958 from Galva High School.
Aletha was united in marriage to Roger Lee Stephan on April 3, 1960, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake. To this union, five children were born: Randall, Bryan, Cheri, Robin and Angela.
Aletha touched many lives while working at Walmart in Storm Lake until her retirement in 2007. In her free time, Aletha enjoyed sewing, completing word searches and crafting. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include children: Randy (Rachel) Stephan of Alta; Bryan Stephan of Storm Lake; Cheri (Wade) Nehring of Storm Lake; Robin Stephan of Storm Lake; Angie Andrade of Storm Lake; grandchildren: Justin (Katie) Nehring, Alex (Cristena) Stephan, Aric Stephan, Adam Stephan, Aaron Zimmer, Lexi (Jake) Schatzberg, Cambrie Andrade and Myiah Andrade; great-grandchildren: Camden and Stryker Nehring; Kellan Cowell; Declan, Rylan and Harrison Schatzberg; Nora and Leah Stephan; brother-in-law Dick (Pam) Stephan of Sioux City; sister-in-law Maureen (Larry) Oster of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Marcia Lane of Arvada, Colo.; many cousins; nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.
Aletha was preceded in death by her husband Roger Stephan; mother Lois Whalen; sister Nancy Kollbaum; daughter-in-law Lisa Stephan; brothers-in-law, Armin Klima and Mike Lane.
