Edith Beatrice was born Jan. 19, 1924, to parents Homer and Maude (Hunter) Hines at their family farm in Sac County. On June 15, 1941, Edith was united in marriage to James Lester Blair at Sac City Christian Church. The union was blessed with six children:  James, Kenneth, Danny, Beverly, Paul and Bradley.

Later when the family moved to Michigan, Edith worked alongside Dr. Slaga as a nursing assistant and for many years drove a school bus for the Dryden, Mich., School District. She also enjoyed being a housewife and helping on the farm. In her free time, she was an avid quilter, played golf and spent time researching family genealogy. One of her favorite memories was getting a hole-in-one at #7 at Fonda Golf Course.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Kenneth (Nancy) Blair of Plymouth Mich.; Danny Blair of Norway; Beverly (William) Kobe of Waterford, Mich.; Paul (JoAnn) Blair of Harlan; and Bradley (April) Blair of Humboldt; grandchildren: James, Krystal, Kenneth, Dennis, Bryan, Brandt, Brandon, Jonathan, Monica, Nikki, William, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew, John, and Jeremy; 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
