SL beats Spirit Lake for first time ever in girls soccer

In all the years that Storm Lake has had a girls soccer team, never have the Tornadoes beaten Spirit Lake.

Until now.

Storm Lake beat the Indians for the first time in school history on Monday night as it came away with a 1-0 victory at Spirit Lake.

Ailyn Elizade scored the only goal of the game with an assist from Pricsila Mena. Kaylee Oehler played all 80 minutes in the net and recorded eight saves.

Storm Lake finished with 14 shots on goal.
