On the three Saturdays in December before Christmas, a local militia of 51 volunteers manned the entry ways of Walmart, Fareway and Hy-Vee and collected a three day record total of $7,118.22. Thi is the first time the $7,000 mark has been broken with just three Saturdays before the holiday.

The wonderful generosity of our area citizens continue to amaze the grateful volunteers. All of the contributions of the donors and volunteers are greatly appreciated and over 90% of these funds return to help those in need in the Storm Lake area. The exemplary cooperation of the three local stores and their employees is also highly commended and appreciated.

This could not be accomplished without them and the efforts of these bell ringing volunteers: Amanda Anderson, Jeff Lundberg, Chaplain Don Keeler, Anna Spears, Randy Wefflen, Adam Fields, Dave Doebel, Patrick Diekman, Brad Strader, Christopher Strader, Aaron Meister, Les Vohs, Lori Cherrier, Bob Wilson, Kami Jorgensen, Carl Turner, Clark Fort, Todd Winebrinner, Pam Boger, Diane Allen, Paula and Palmer Olson, Heidi Russley, Tom Daniels, Mary Eckerman, Connie and Mike Kahnke, Deb Rierson, Ladene Ponsor, Gladys and Gene Mandernach, Bill and Arvid Baughman, Fran Schetley, Sue Lyngaas, Deloris Britt, Russ Eddie, Pastor Matt MIller, Duff Stepan, Clayton Christensen, Randy Johnson, Ron Bryan, Donna and Duane Queen, Dan Robinson, Mark Shea, Sally Anderson, Scott Peterson, LeAnn Wittmaack and Kim and Dale Carver.
