Sioux Central’s depth shows in win over N-F

Hunter Decker scored a career-high 24 points and Sioux Central pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Newell-Fonda 69-51 in a Twin Lakes Conference game last Friday at Sioux Rapids.

Sioux Central held a 16-14 lead after the first quarter, but used a 20-13 second quarter spurt to take a 36-27 halftime lead. It was 50-41 Rebels heading into the fourth period of play.

Chase Jessen scored 17 points for Sioux Central. Logan Grote added 11 and Jake Hanson eight. Prestan Samson tallied five points, while Blake Cavanaugh and Caden Krager each had two for the winners.
