McKinley visits Cuba on Roads Scholar trip

A street artist with two dachshunds, one was dressed as a revolutionary,

one as a baby, handed Kathryn the baby and claimed that she peed on

her. (She had not. He had sprayed her leg with water.)



BVU professor Dr. Kathryn McKinley of Storm Lake traveled to Cuba for 10 days in January with 17 people on a Roads Scholar trip (formerly called Elderhostel.)

“These are tours with an educational side to help you understand what you see,” she explained. “If I wanted to go to a beach, there are beaches, too.”

Kathryn flew to Miami where she met her tour people.
